Could you be stuck in wanting?
Have you ever found yourself wanting something so badly, and yet never actually getting there?
Thinking that maybe this next class, the next certification, or the next relationship is going to be the answer you’re looking for?
There are people who literally spend their entire lives in the wanting—just wanting. They want the million dollars, they want the dream job, they want to feel that they “made it”. But wanting of the dream is so compelling and so familiar to them that they miss all the action steps to get them there. Or they get distracted by some inflated version of the dream and make it so unattainable that they are justified in wanting it because it would take too much work, or time, or money to have it.
They choose to settle for wanting, instead of having what they want.
And that’s a perfectly fine way to live. Millions of people have done it that way. Millions of people have survived and found a way to live until they die just wanting.
And yet, when we frame it that way—to settle for wanting the dream instead of having the dream, instead of acting on your most basic, instinctual, intuitive nudges to record the video, talk to the person next to you on the train, or make the phone call now…
And then what? Maybe it doesn’t become anything. Not everything in life will have a clear, determined end from our vantage point. We don’t get to know the ends of all the stories, not in this one lifetime.
But we can trust that in our souls’, and in Source’s experience, all the choices get to be fleshed out. We don’t have to fear missing out on what could have been if we choose something else this time—which frees us to choose what ultimately is most aligned. We can align with our higher self and align with our soul purpose in this way, by allowing, being in the moment, and following the nudges.
